  • FR. PENTIUC TO TEACH IN JERUSALEM

    Rev. Dr. Eugen J. Pentiuc, Archbishop Demetrios Professor of Biblical Studies and Christian Origins at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, has been invited by the Ecole Biblique et Archaeologique Francaise (EBAF) in Jerusalem to join the faculty there as a visiting professor for the Spring 2021 semester.  EBAF, a research and postgraduate institution founded in 1890, is one of the premier biblical schools in the world, famous for its past and present faculty, comprehensive library, and vital role in the study of the Dead Sea Scrolls.   • KALLINIKEION INSTITUTE GOES ONLINE FOR 2020

    The Kallinikeion Institute at Hellenic College Holy Cross is an intensive Modern Greek language program sponsored by the Kallinikeion Foundation, offering two courses in Modern Greek, one at the beginning level and one at the intermediate level, with all classes taught by members of the HCHC faculty. This year the program, which is open to both HCHC and non-HCHC students, will run from Monday, May 11, to Friday, June 5.     On April 7, 2020, the V. Rev. Dr.  Maximos Constas, Interim Dean of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, spoke at an online faculty seminar hosted by St Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary. The title of his presentation was "John Geometres' Life of the Virgin and the Georgian Life of the Virgin attributed to Maximus the Confessor."   • HCHC TO HOLD COMBINED COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES FOR CLASSES OF 2020 AND 2021 IN MAY 2021

    For the first time in its long history, Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology will hold combined commencement exercises for two classes, 2020 and 2021, in May 2021.
